Gurmat Center Youth Program

FREE Program for All Youth in Grade 9 or Higher

Gurmat Center will be having its 81st youth group program on Saturday, August 24, 2024. GCY is a safe space for youth in high school and university to explore Gurmat without any judgement. The environment at GCY fosters a healthy sense of belonging with Sangat, and inspires all to further pursue Sikhi.

This month, GCY will be taking place at a special location: the Punjab Equestrian Center. You will get the opportunity to ride a horse and enjoy the Sangat of other like minded Gursikhs! Continue reading for more details.

SPECIAL LOCATION

This month’s GCY will be taking place at the Punjab Equestrian Center (PEC). With the guidance of the PEC coach, you will get the chance to take part in horse riding!

Horses are an integral part of Sikh history and are an important aspect in the Sikh tradition. All Sikhs are encouraged to learn horse riding. The Sevadars at Gurmat Center are very pleased to offer this opportunity at the upcoming GCY! In order to participate, please fill out the waiver attached below and bring it with you. Please wear closed shoes and do not wear loose clothing to this GCY. We look forward to seeing you at this program!

NOTE: You will have to arrange your own ride to the Punjab Equestrian Center.

GCY SCHEDULE

4:30 - 5:00 PM: Rehras Sahib
5:00 - 7:00 PM: Riding horses!
7:00 - 8:00 PM: Dinner
