GURBANI REWARDS PROGRAM

For Levels 4, 5, and 6

Gurbani will give students the confidence and stability of mind that is required to live a Guru-centered life while living in this world.

All students in level 4 (Nitnem Santhia), level 5 (Sikh Studies), and level 6 (Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee Santhia) are encouraged to participate in the Gurbani Memorizing Rewards Program. Students who are able to memorize and then recite from heart with proper pronunciation any of the Banis written below will be rewarded with cash prizes! Students cannot recite a Bani for which they have already received a reward for in the previous years.

Although it is impossible to assign any money amount to Gurbani, we have come up with the following amounts based on the Bani's length and difficulty.

ਜਪੁ ਜੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ - $100
ਜਾਪੁ ਸਾਹਿਬ - $150
ਤ੍ਵ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਸ੍ਵਯੇ - $50
ਬੇਨਤੀ ਚੌਪਈ - $50
ਅਨੰਦੁ ਸਾਹਿਬ - $100
ਰਹਰਾਸਿ ਸਾਹਿਬ - $100
ਰੱਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ & ਕੀਰਤਨ ਸੋਹਿਲਾ - $50

All registered participants will be scheduled for an appointment to recite their Bani(s) during the month of May. Appointments will be scheduled according to their classroom teacher’s availability. Rewards will be distributed during the 31st Annual Awards Ceremony (details regarding the Awards Ceremony will be provided closer to the end of the school year).
