REMINDER FOR LEVEL 4 STUDENTS Level 4 Reading Test
Once students complete levels 1-3 and register for level 4, they are required to complete a reading test on the first day of Santhia class to continue with the class. This reading test will ensure that the students' reading skills are sufficient in order to be successful in Santhia class. The test will determine if the students are able to read fluently while easily recognizing letters and vowel symbols.
We encourage all level 3 students to register for Nitnem Santhia level 4 so students can learn to pronounce and read Gurbani correctly. Through Santhia, students have the opportunity to start gaining an understanding of Gurbani and follow the teachings of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee.
A mandatory Summer Reading Program has been designed to continue learning in the summer and to support students' entry into level 4. By following this program, which is located at the back of the students' Punjabi books, students should be prepared for Nitnem Santhia class. An instruction sheet is provided in the Punjabi books along with reading sheets. Reading everyday for 15 minutes helps prevent learning loss during summer break.
