The Sikh Pioneers trip provides the opportunity to tour and learn about the rich Sikh history of BC. Some places the students visit include the National Heritage Gur Sikh Temple in Abbotsford, Toronto Place Park (site of Bhai Mewa Singh's Shaheedi), Komagata Maru Museum and monument and the site of the first ever Gurdwara Sahib in Canada. Students gain a unique insight into how Canadian history has been shaped by brave Sikh pioneers.
