Gatka is an ancient martial art introduced to Sikhs by the Gurus to help defend freedom of religion and human rights of Sikhs and non-Sikhs. It is considered to be a spiritual experience as well as a great form of physical exercise. Both these aspects of the person are developed to a high level during the learning phase in this ancient art.
Gurmat Center has been teaching Gatka since 2001 and currently offers 1 class which is further seperated based on their skill level. Students are provided with many opportunities to display their Gatka skills during Nagar Kirtans, Awards ceremony and Shaheedi Smagam.
