Student Skills Presentation
Gurmat Center has been proudly educating children and youth for the past 32 years. Classes include Punjabi, Gurbani Santhia, Sikh History, Kirtan, and Gatka. As a way of sharing and celebrating student learning, we hold Student Skills Presentations which take place throughout the year.
How it Works
All Gurmat Center levels have been scheduled to present on a specific Sunday during our weekly Sunday Youth and Family Darbar. On their assigned Sunday, students will be performing on the stage alongside their teacher. The students will share something they have learned in classes with the Sangat. These presentations will continue frequently up until the final Sunday Youth and Family Darbar of this school year. This is a great opportunity for students to share their learning with the Sangat.
Students will be informed of their presentation in their classrooms two weeks prior to the presentation date. On the day of their presentation, students must wear their uniform and arrive by 5 PM for rehearsal. The presentation will take place near the beginning of Sunday Darbar.
The first Student Skills Presentation will take place on Sunday, Feb 23, 2025 during Sunday Youth and Family Darbar. Sunday Youth and Family Darbar takes place from 5:30 - 7:00 PM. We sincerely hope you can join us for Sunday Youth and Family Darbar and the students’ presentation!
