Gurmat Center's free parenting workshops aim to provide parents with positive and effective techniques to foster personal growth and develop a healthy family. The workshops offer professional guidance in raising children, bringing about change and improving family relationships. A trained Punjabi and English speaking professional will offer multiple sessions throughout the year. Parents will have the opportunity to discuss challenges, brainstorm solutions and interact with other parents in a safe and supportive environment.
WORKSHOP FACILITATOR
Navneet K. Bains has graduated from Grant MacEwan University Edmonton as a social worker and a life coach. Currently, she is a counsellor with "Moving Forward Family Services" in Surrey and previously worked in a women's shelter and in the ABC Head start preschool program where she facilitated a group. Navneet Kaur was also a Parenting Coordinator for youth 14 to 25 years old in Maple Ridge for 6 years. Since then, Navneet Kaur facilitates parenting classes for the Family Education Center and MFFS. Her passion is to connect and empower parents and children and her vision is to promote healthy parenting which is full of love and discipline.
