19th Annual Virtual Shaheedi Smagam
This past Sunday, Sangat came together virtually to remember the Sikh genocide of 1984 at the 19th annual Shaheedi Smagam. The event began with beautiful Kirtan, followed by a media presentation, and Bhai Pardeep Singh Jee’s heart touching Katha about Shaheedi. After the live stream, Sangat drove to the Gurdwara Sahib for candy bags and snacks! Thank you to everyone that participated in this year's event. Livestream is available on YouTube. Gurmat Center Youth Program Event #51
This past Saturday, youth came together for another successful GCY event. Bhai Tajinder Singh Ji spoke about the topic of Sikhi Sidhak. Bhai Sahib shared Sakhiyan about amazing Gursikhs in Sikh history. This was followed by a competitive game of Pictionary and Catchphrase! The evening ended with a pizza dinner and dessert.

First day of Gatka Classes
Gatka classes have started up again for the Akali Baba Phoola Singh Ji Gatka Akhara, which was started in 2001. This class took place on Saturday with our Gatka teachers Bhai Gurkeerat Singh and Bibi Amanjot Kaur. Students started the class with Ardaas, Shastar Naam Mala Bani and stretches. Teachers also shared Sakhis of Shaheeds and the importance of Shastar Vidhya. The first class focused on learning the Mool Pantra which will help build a good foundation for Gatka.

Punjabi Classes Continue!
Gurbani Santhia Classes Begin!
Gurmat Center Santhia classes began last week. All students and teachers began their classes in Darbar by receiving the blessings of Maharaj through an Ardaas and Hukamnama. Santhia classes consist of Nitnem Santhia as well as Guru Granth Sahib Jee Santhia (part 1 & 2). It is amazing to see all the students recieving Santhia at such a young age!
