Today was the first day of Sikh Studies, a class focused on providing youth with a foundational understanding of Sikhi. A wide range of topics will be covered where students will have the opportunity to expand their understanding by engaging in discussion, watching documentaries and attending field trips. Currently we have over 30 students enrolled in the class!

Our staff team meets for our annually for the school start up meeting. We discussed important teacher and classroom procedures along with changes for the upcoming year. Our team is looking forward to another great year full of lots of learning! 

This Saturday, Gurmat Center Sevadars were invited to complete a volunteer training session with Gurdwara Sukh Sagar Sevadars. The training session included information on how to plan and execute programs and events. We were humbled to spend our Saturday evening with an amazing group of Sevadars!

Last week, summer camp Sevadars attended an appreciation trip. The well spent day in Vancouver started off with mini golfing and lunch, followed by biking the Seawall and ice cream dessert. Sevadars that did Seva in all 3 sessions were recognized on the trip with a custom summer camp hoodie!
